On a Groove

I worked last night and again this morning to make this card. A very talented group of stampers, known as the "Dirty Girls" on splitcoast post amazing cards every month. Carole Richardson is one of my favorite artists. This card was inspired by her work, although putting her name anywhere near one of my cards borders on lunacy!! I could never figure out how to sponge a border properly. I finally hit on the idea of using the vintage brick stamp from last year's Paint Prints and just rub it over the border. Worked like a charm! My new favorite technique. In any event, I'm almost happy with the result. The card is less bright in real life and perhaps could use a little extra something near the ribbon?
