Totally Kind

I made this card for Sharon, a woman whose daughter attends the same school as my son. I now must rely on our housekeeper/companion to my Mom to take Andy to school. Today I asked Sharon if she would serve as a back up should our housekeeper get sick, caught in traffic, or otherwise be unable to get Andy to school (no bus to this private school). I don't know Sharon very well, although our kids are friends, and I felt funny asking her. I was so relieved when Sharon agreed to do this that I knew a card had to be made!! The picture makes the ribbon look like white, when it actually matches the background (so saffron). Next time, I will use green ribbon as I think that would work much better. I love the so saffron, ruby red, olive green combination. I think it will become a favorite of mine. The oval punches are from SU and make it so easy to make a little frame for the words. I pulled out my Stamp-ma-jig to try and get the 2 words perfectly aligned. Not perfect, but better than if I had not used this nifty little tool. The words are from Amazing to Zany.

  1. Joan, your card is very pretty. I like how you used the oval punches. My mom just bought me them so I think I'm going to try that look out!

  3. Joan, this card is just lovely! In fact, I think that I will probably order the oval punches just because of it. I tend to hoard my Hardly Hardware, so I didn't think I needed them for filling the ovals there. . . but to just layer? Oh yeah! I could use that. Thanks A LOT. . . (really!) ;-)
