I Stamp, Therefore I Am!

I've had a pack of patterned paper from DCWV for months. I never use it because it doesn't match "exactly" my SU cardstock and inks, and frankly I got it on line and never really liked most of it! However, I came across this layout challenge on splitcoaststampers and decided it was time to try out these papers. Since the flowered paper had a beige background and the other two had white in them, I used the SU Linen Background and Creamy Caramel ink to soften all the papers and the focal image as well. By doing so, I was able to use SU Turquoise, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip as pretty good matches for this paper. Then I added a brown prima flower with an old olive brad to balance out the top corner of the card. The SU word window punch was perfect to add "unfrogettable." I just love this froggy set from SU and will give this card to my son for his 16th (wow) birthday in December. Even though it has the dreaded "girly" flowers, I think the colors and the frog work for a boy. At least I hope so!

  3. Really great card Joan! You could always change out the flower for a spiral clip? I love how you overstamped the pp with the Linen BG to give the papers all the same tone. Just fabulous as always! Adelle- mnhyrkas on SS and SCS

  5. This is lovely, Joan! Isn't is rewarding to actually dip into that paper that we hoard occasionally? Every time I go through my paper, I am surprised. . . Ü
