Seeking Ideas for Watercolored Drinks

A few months ago my very nice stamper friend Colleen came by for a few hours of watercoloring fun and brought along this stamp. It so isn't my normal style but I fell in love with it. Despite the fact that I like this little watercolored bit of paper, it quickly became buried under my pile. I was delighted to discover it while moving my stamping gear down the hall. I'm not sure what to do with it. I see a Happy New Year's card but I can't quite figure out how to use this very bold image. It's about a 3" square (I'd measure it but my rulers are still part of the "move.") Any ideas???? I'll post the final product once I can safely walk into my new stamping space!

  1. Definitely a New Years card or maybe some coasters.

  2. Joan, I cut the image out, glueing it onto a card which still leaves room at the bottom for a sentiment. Usually, I use Happy Birthday, but a new years' sentiment or any kind of celebration would certainly work.

  3. It looks like something you could frame and hang in a kitchen

  4. Joan this is B-E-A-U-tiful! Why not frame it and put it in your stamp room? You'll probably grin with pleasure every time you see it!

  5. It looks great, Joan. I think I will dig out that stamp and play with it some more. I really like the idea of making coasters with it. Let me know if you want to borrow the stamp!

  6. I have this stamp and love it. Its great to stamp on a ceramic tile (I prefer unglazed) with Stazon and then paint or color. Seal with a good sealant, add felt to the bottom and you have a great coaster. I have made sets of these for gifts and people just love them.

Its also fun to use the A Muse stamp "one martini, two martini, three martini, floor!" (or something to that effect!)

I "see" this as your focal image - dead center - with Celebrate, Cheers, or other sentiment at the bottom - with curly ribbons from the top side...

I also agree with everyone that this is a stand along image (I love it!) for coasters.
