Bit of Spring!

Yes, on Christmas Day, I thought I'd share a card I made that definitely sings spring. I wanted to make a card that reminded me of the Cherry Blossoms that bloom in DC in the spring. If you haven't taken the time to visit DC during the blooming of the trees, you are missing out on something special! Supplies used (all Stampin Up unless otherwise stated) Stamps: Trees Three and Circle of Friendship, and Cornish Hertitage Farms Rice Paper Backgrounder; Inks: Cranberry Crisp, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Gable Green; Paper: Whisper White, Cranberry Crisp, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery; Michael's pink ribbon, circle punches. I cut the thank you circle by hand as I don't have a circle punch that is the exact fit (SU, are you listening???). Note: to answer some questions from a previous post on comparing Becketts Expression paper with SU's Ultrasmooth -- yes, the images stamp exactly the same. Both papers are super high quality, with that beautiful smooth finish. No, I have not compared these with Georgia Pacific, but would love to do so! If anyone has a sample bit of paper, please let me know and I'll be glad to compare and post updated results.

  5. I have lived in the DC area since I moved down here for law school in 1992 . . . so I'm well acquainted with the cherry blossoms. You've definitely got me thinking spring! :) I absolutely LOVE this card.

Happy New Year to you. All the best in 2007.
