Always and Forever

It isn't easy being married to me lately. Like many individuals, I struggle with seeing the glass half full. Indeed, the glass sometimes looks near empty, despite the fact that I know intellectually that it is overflowing with blessings. I rely on my husband to help me through the gray times. He is always there for me. Thus, this card is, again, for him. Supplies used: For the two hearts, the striped piece under the hearts, and the base of the card, I used Basic Grey Blush papers -- Eternity, Devotion, and Romance, from the 6 x 6 paper pad. [I ordered it online when I was ordering Cuttlebug supplies, and I believe that I found it as Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking, http://www.qbaroo.com/HappyScrappinScrapbooking/ I've noticed that the 6 x 6 pad is not the same scale as the 12 x 12. In other words, Basic Grey did not just take its 12 x 12 papers and cut them into quarters -- instead, the design of the prints are smaller in scale. If you look closely at the picture, you'll notice that the striped piece under the heart is the same paper and the striped paper on which I photographed the card -- but the stripes on the little strip are smaller than the larger piece on which the card rests. Very cool of Basic Grey!!] The top heart was cut out using the Cricut, and I free hand cut the larger heart after adhering the smaller one on top. Other supplies: SU's Small Script and French Flair Background; Cranberry Crisp cardstock and ink; various chalk fluid inks (rubbed on top of the cranberry to mimic the Basic Grey heart); Dark Chocolate Fluid Chalk ink for the word "always"; Vellum; SU Vintage Brads, Copper Hodgepodge Hardware, Pink narrow organdy ribbon; and the Crafter's Tool Kit.

Isn't Basic Grey loads of fun, too? It has been my paper of choice now for a year.
