Courage
I was asked to make a card for someone who is quite ill. I wanted some dimension to the card because this woman is also visually impaired, and I decided to make it bigger than the usual A2 card size because a lot of folks in my office will sign the card. Thus, this card is approximately 6 and 1/4" x 4 and 7/8". Working on this card was wonderful therapy for me. The quote from Winston Churchill speaks to me in many ways . . . . I love both of the SU sets used in this card -- the quote is from Friendship Flowers and the butterflies and flowers are from Butterfly of Happiness. I stamped them both with SU Chocolate Chip ink onto Basic Grey Sweetie paper from the Blush collection, and then cut them out. Other supplies used: Basic Grey Angelic paper from the Blush collection (you know I LOVE this paper!!); SU Copper Hodgepodge Hardware; Narrow Pink Organdy ribbon; Two-toned (brown and pink) stitched ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon; Dimensionals; SU Chocolate Chip and Blush Blossom Cardstock; Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom and Creamy Caramel Inks (sponged onto the quote); and SU Horizontal Slot and Ticket Corner punches. Whew -- we use a LOT of stuff when we make a card, don't we???
Beautiful card, Joan. Beautiful sentiment also.
