Don't Ask Me...

. . . WHAT I was thinking with this card. I'm putting the blame on my husband, who loves bright colors, and the pull of the Cuttlebug, which apparently sent me off into la la land! I just kept fooling around with this until it almost exploded on my table! Here's what I used -- Stylized Flowers A2 Embossing Folder for the 'bug; SU White Craft ink; prismacolor pencils, SU pink and black cardstocks; black velvet ribbon; other ribbon; a black pigment pen and an SU punch. Enough said! The woman who takes care of my Mom isn't showing up due to the fact that HER mother is sick. Good grief, I'm stuck in a nightmare wrapped inside another one. However, my supervisor is being super accommodating and my husband is being pretty nice as well. I'm a lucky lady. In the meantime, a few rambling thougts -- so sorry for the blog/feedblitz mess. I hope the emails settle down. Several very kind readers have sent me papers to try out and post the results, but I haven't had much of a chance to do anything -- this card was my first attempt at anything related to paper in a few days. Hopefully, I can catch up with my mail this weekend and find some time to play and post.

  6. I LOVE your card, Joan! As for you being short on someone to help with your mom, you'll be in my prayers! I know where you're coming from - my mom was very sick a year ago. Now she's in a nursing home, which means she's not living with me, but there are still issues and fires I have to put out. She's pretty much in her right mind, but gets paranoid at times and thinks they're gonna move her to another floor, or punish her somehow?!
    Hugs to you!
