Coming Up For Air
I've been buried under a mound of life! I've managed to untangle myself long enough to make this card. All supplies are Stampin Up, except for the white polka dot ribbon by May Arts. I cut Certainly Celery cardstock into a traditional A2 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" card. Scored and folded it, and turned it so the fold was on top. I marked off .75" from the side edge of the top of the card and then cut the card from the mark to the bottom corner -- essentially making a trapezoid. I stamped the leaves from Best Blossoms with Versamark ink and then stamped the 3 small flowers with Orchid Opulence classic ink, first onto a piece of celery scrap paper to test out the color and then onto the card itself. I cut out the flowers from the scrap and adhered them on top of the stamped images. Stamped "Spring" from Season by Season in the Orchid ink, and adhered the ribbon.
LOVE that shape! And what a simply elegant card!
ReplyDeleteI love your trapezoid-shaped card! The celery and orchid look so pretty together, especially with the blooms popped like they are...and with my favorite ribbon. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Quite literally, thinking outside of the "box".
ReplyDeleteGREAT CARD!! I LOVE that shape...you are sooooooo smart. The simplicity makes up the most wonderful part to me, and the colors are out of this world! TFS.
ReplyDeleteGreat twist on an A2 card with the shape! I hope you dig out from under that 'mound' very soon! {{{hugs}}}
