"8 - 9"

The Washington Post magazine has a story about parenting teenagers -- the way some parents let their kids and their friends drink at their home, etc. vs. parents who would never tolerate that crap (guess you know where we are on that issue.) So, I ask my son -- on a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being dream parents and 1 being call protective services, possibly the death penalty, where are Mom and Dad (why do I do these things???). Andy says we are a 8 - 9!!! Not too shabby if I say so myself. But, then I got to thinking, is this the sincere Andy, or the Eddie Haskell version? Better not ask.

  1. I read that article too. I would be totally happy with an 8-9 rating. I won't ask Jack since the only numbers he knows how to say are 1 and 2!
