My So Called Genius

My son is 15. He is supposedly quite bright. He'll take AP Calculus and AP Physics as a sophomore. WHO CARES??? Trust me, none of this really matters. Someone please explain to me how he could sit there with a straight face and tell me that "no one ever told me to put the shower curtain inside the tub." No, we never mentioned that; nor did we tell him to use the ceiling fan when taking a shower, or not to take the wet bath mat and leave it on the bathroom floor. And, of course, even if we had never explained the obvious to him, it never occured to little Mr. Math and Science that water rots wood. His bathroom floor literally squishes -- and that's AFTER we took up the tile. Oh, I hope he marries well.

  1. LOL! My husband is also quite book smart and we joke about the difference between being smart and having common sense. As long as your son finds a wife with common sense, he'll do okay. ;)
