To Mike
I planned on using a "Happy Haunting" stamp on the front of this card, but, when I went to look for it, I saw this other sentiment stamp, and boom! I immediately thought of Mike, my husband. In addition to his red hair and orange eyes (really), he has brought color into my life in so many ways. I can't imagine my life without him. Mike is of those men who go through life without much fanfare. He successfully manages a very large staff, but most of his staff know very little about him. He is the quintessential "quiet man," a wonderful father and husband. He asks for very little in return. Give him time to exercise, play his guitar and chocolate, and Mike's a happy man. He'll eat anything I cook, let me control the TV clicker, and puts up with all sorts of shenanigans from me. This isn't the easiest time for our little family, but he is my rock.
The veggie dresses are so much fun!! I am new to your blog and would be quite interested in picking up a few or ten! Thank you so much for sharing your creative talents!

Hi Joan,
ReplyDeleteLove the post and the card too. You are really on a roll.
Joan, this is an excellent design! It looks like one that JulieHRR could have come up with, and that's a serious compliment! I'm so glad that your husband is a solid, supportive type. . . Mine is too--a strong, silent Swede. I make enough noise for both of us. ;-)
ReplyDeleteJoan,
ReplyDeleteGreat blog :) and I really like your creations. I absolutely LOVE the card you made for your husband, and I was wondering if you could please tell me who makes the sentiment stamp "You brought color into my life". I NEED to get my inky little hands on that stamp! Thanks! :)
The You Brought Color Into My Life stamp is a Dawn Hauser design Uptown Rubber Stamps. I've had it a looong time so I hope you can find it.
