Oldies But Goodies

I'm cheatin' tonight. These cards have been in my splitcoast gallery since April, but I really like them a lot, so I'm posting them here too. I know they aren't "star" quality, but they mean a lot to me. They are from SU's And Everything Nice set -- one of my favorites. The top card also uses the Hollyhock Wheel and a striped background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. These were some of my first attempts at using markers and an aquapainter to watercolor. Love that technique -- if using watercolor paper. The markers will not "flow" properly on any other kind of paper. My mom's health took a turn for the worse today and I'm feeling very anxious. Bear with me as I share my concerns here. I think that's why I went back to these cards -- I find them comforting. Thanks for listening.

  2. Wow! I can't believe you are the same girl who was looking for a stamping teacher in June. These two cards are real beauties. They are gorgeous. Makes me wish I'd gotten this set when the wheel promotion was on. Such lovely work Joan. Outstanding!!!!!! Nan
