Another Blog Giveaway!

Good grief, I've had over 10,000 look-sees into this blog in the last 3 weeks. I suspect it's because Paper Trufflez and Thinking Inking list this blog on their list of blogs to look at (thank you Julie and Debbie), but I'll take readers however I can get them! Surely someone deserves something for dropping by this blog! I JUST mailed the patterned paper to the last winner of a giveaway, so be patient if you win PRIMA FLOWERS from me. Yes, some yummy Prima Flowers to the winner of this latest give away. How can you win? Post a comment on THIS post no later than 9:00 pm EST on Thursday January 25th, and describe what you like to see in a stamping blog. Do you want pictures with descriptions, information on the blogger and her life, featured stampers, recommendations on products, etc.??? Yes, I've been "tagged" -- more on that later..........

  1. I love seeing beautiful pieces done with stamping and all the fun someone had doing it as they write about their creation.

  2. I love to see the beautiful cards, especially when they use a new technique for me to try. My inspiration is definitely second hand!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I drop by your blog every day, just in case the Feedblitz thing is wrong and it has changed!

I enjoy seeing your work and would like to see more of it, along with new techniques and product reviews. It makes it easier to decide whether or not to purchase something if someone else is happy with it, or not, as the case may be. And we all have SO many toys!

It is nice to read a little about your life from time to time as well, it's good to get to know you a little better, even if it is "virtually".

  4. I like seeing new tutorials for techniques. I love seeing new art!
    Great blog!

  5. I drop by your blog every few days. Love the way you show other stampers art work. I also like seeing recommendations for products. Lately many of my stamp related purchases have been after seeing bloggers opinions of a certain product. I will usually wait and see what the buzz is about and weigh whether or not I really need it. For instance, next time I go to the craft store I must get the Crop-A-Dile. ;o)
Thanks for your blog and keep up the good work!

  6. I love a blog that is updated frequently with stamped projects along with a brief description of what you used on the card.

Thanks for posting another give away and congratulations on all your hits!

  7. Hello, pictures and "how-to" techniques. Those are my favorites. Between the the two I find lots of inspiration for my paper crafts. Thank you for sharing! Smiles, NG.

  8. Joan, I like seeing a little bit of everything - personal life stuff and also works of art. I really enjoy reading blogs because it makes me feel like I know the person blogging! There have been more than one occasion where I wished I knew an address or two because I felt compelled to send a card or similar. But I thought that might be too weird or something! Maybe not tho!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I love your product reviews and your cards! That's what I like about blogs - the products, the techniques, the cards. I also enjoy learning a little more about the stamper behind the stamps! Thanks for sharing.

  10. I love seeing the things you are doing with your blog...that's why I come back everyday. The samples, ideas, details, highlights and personal touch that you convey is exactly what I like to see in a blog. Patti Hojnacki

  11. I would love to see cards with tutorials. I am a visual hands-on type. If you've done the Frappacino holder with bottles a tutorial on that would be great. Love your blog. Your creations are wonderful and other beautiful cards you share from other talented people help me to create my own. I spent the entire weekend making cards with my new scalloped punches! Thanks for the lift!

  12. Joan

I love to see your beautiful creations - your photographs always do them justice - along with the recipes/instructions. But getting to know the stamper behind the creation is what I like best!

Thanks for keeping your blog up and running for all of us!

    GO COLTS!

  14. Well, let's see... As a recipient of your email updates, I have really enjoyed pictures, the descriptions, the tutorial-type writing, I like to see links to SALES around the internet that you happen across - or anything of interest - that we can link up to.. I like getting to know you a bit thru your descriptions of your day, etc! Thank you for all you do!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love to see cards, cards, cards! Techniques are great to see on a blog but not neccessarily new ones, sometimes we need reminders of the oldies but goodies (like the glossy cardstock).

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes - everything you said :) I love to see stamping projects with pictures and I also like to know about the person behind the blog.

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  17. What I really like seeing on blogs are different ways to use products & tools, tutorials and new techniques. I also like it when along with a new card picture there is also a step by step on how it is done. But I also appreciate all the hardwork that goes into keeping a blog current and sharing your talent with everyone. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.

  27. I think I probably found your blog through Julie's! Im not sure now as Ive added several blogs in the last couple of weeks!
Hmmm what I like in a blog....frequent updates (especially with the good blogs!).
I am finding a new love for my hobby recently and so Im just enamored by the incredible talent of many people out there. I look to the blogs for that reason...when I find someone with amazing talent, Id prefer to look at JUST their stuff. So instead of searching galleries, I come to one specific spot.
Part of my daily ritual now is to sit down and go down the list of all the blogs in my favorites, and marvel at all the wonderful talent and inspiration!
Thank you for being a part of my ritual and providing some fantastic inspiration! :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I check your blog routinely - I love to see pictures of what different artists are doing. And I love the way you showcase other artists/stampers! Techniques are great, too! I guess I want it all in a blog!!

  30. I read only your Blog! I enjoy it because you continue to stamp! I like your style of cards, reminders of old techniques and seeing how you tweak them to make them your own! Your tips, insights into new stuff and learning more about you and your family are great! Thanks for taking the time to do it.

I would also enjoy knowing when something you try doesn't work! I learn from successes and failed attemps!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like a blog that is updated frequently, has lots of pictures (esp. when explaining a technique) and even, at times, explaining the basics of finishing a card (e.g., use of embellishments, sponging, piercing, etc.) to give it that extra ta-da. I think my cards are nice enough but I need to learn more "ta-da"! Cheers, Allison

  32. I enjoy seeing cards that you've made with descriptions on how you've made them. Also like reading new product descriptions.

As for what I like about it, everything! I like that you update it frequently! I LOVE the cards, I find them very elegant, some are so simple, but SO elegant!

In some cases, i haven't realized how beautiful some sets can be until I've seen your work!

Anyway thanks for sharing and keep posting!!

  45. I am new to your blog and subscribed from a posting by someone on Stamper's Corner. What caught my eye was your experiment with Pergamano and using stamps and white Stazon to transfer the image to parchment. I love this tech. and am bumbling along trying to learn all I can. Your suggestion was brilliant. I appreciate your comments and directions on the cards you post. They are beautifula and inspiring. You have such a freindly way of describing how you did each card. I am looking forward to learning a lot from your blog.

  47. What I like to see on blogs:

    * Free giveaways! (Pick me! Pick me!)
    * Photos of cards with pseudo instructions. (I don't need details like "color the carrot orange", but things like "I used bleach for the highlights". I guess I'm looking for "techniques" more than "instructions".

    ReplyDelete

  71. I like posts and photos - it's fun to read about the person behind the artwork, as much as it is to see the art. Even though I'm no longer into SU, I visit your site periodically because you do such beautiful work. I have quite a few blogs bookmarked and it's neat see what everyone is working on in more detail than what you'd see on a message board post or a picture trail photo. Kudos to you.

  72. Thanks for the chance !

I read blogs daily with or without a Feedblitz - so it's great when blogs are updated daily (or at least couple times a week). I love seeing new creations - with good descriptions about materials used and inspirations. Anything that you find interesting in terms of products or techniques or craft related stuff - we'd probably find enjoyable to read!!

    GREAT JOB on your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hmm, where to start? I read your blog first thing every morning and enjoy seeing every card you stamp! I especially like it when you tell us what didn't work! I enjoy your Featured Stamper and the little peeks into your life. It was really nice to take a step back the other day when you posted about the glossy cardstock. Sometimes I think we get so wrapped up in what's new, we forget about the "lonely" supplies, stamps, etc. I know, I for one, need to use some of those lonelies! Thanks for all you do, Joan. You're the BEST!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I like to see lots of stamped samples, and here about the blogger!

  76. I like it when stamping bloggers tell how they did their projects and share specifics on what products work well for them. It also helps to provide links to where to get the products online. Keep up the good work, I love this blog!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I love a blog that is chock full of pictures and descriptions! And I love some good enabling- where to find the coolest stuff that lets you make the amazing things you do!

    ReplyDelete
  78. My absolute favorite thing to see on blogs is cards, cards, cards, with a description of the technique. I'm always looking for pieces of art that match my taste and preference. Since I can't create them on my own (I'm not a very creative thinker), I look to the "blog experts" to guide me. So . . . lots of samples with clear directions. I also love to read about/see pictures of the blogger and family so they don't seem like strangers to me!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I stop by daily to see what's new. I enjoy it when you have made something as inspired by someone else. It shows YOUR take on things and encourages me to get inspiration from others and then do my own thing. I also love seeing & learning new techniques and about new products. By the way, the photographic quality of your cards is incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I love seeing pieces done with some details about how it was created; I also enjoy learning about new techniques and about the blogger, too!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Your cards are amazing and nudge me to leave the computer and go stamp! Do you have a stamp group who gets together to play? I'd like to know about how you do that.
I'm not a blogger, but I love reading others' blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Do you want pictures with descriptions, information on the blogger and her life, featured stampers, recommendations on products, etc.???

    All of the above? :D

Seriously, I like seeing your card samples with details (at least stamps used/company, colors, if a special technique was used), new products (or a new way yot use an old one), what's new with the blogger (makes it a bit more personal, but you don't have to get really personal if you know what I mean), other interests you might have, particularly as they relate back to stamping. As for featured stampers, it's a great way to pay it forward, particularly if the FS isn't well-known.

  84. Hi Joan!

I love to see samples with descriptions and where to buy the products used. I also love to read about bloggers' everyday lives, the downs as well as the ups, and their families, what they do in "real life." I want it "all!"

    ReplyDelete
  85. I really like to see the card samples. Many times my creative juices have run dry and I need a boost in the right direction. Or perhaps it's just a "senior moment" - lol.

Its also nice to hear about fabulous sales that someone found! I also like to hear about "mistakes" and what doesn't work.

I think your blog is fantastic and I check every day!

  87. Hmmm....what I like about your blog? EVERYTHING! I love your cards! I really appreciate you explaining techniques.

The only down point is that I check the blog every morning before i start work and I pine for my stamps for a couple of hours after that! Maybe I should bring some stuff to the office and stamp during my lunch hour?! All the guys will get a good laugh at that!

    Anyway thank you for sharing!

  89. Hi,
I lurk on your blog daily and sheepishly don't comment.

I look at a few different 'crafty' blogs and what i like to read about our cool ideas, inspiration, seeing finished projects and some details but unless it involves a template that is attached in some way I don't need the nitty-gritty of how it was done....

I also love a sketch challenges to see how different people (or even the same person) interprets a sketch.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I like to see anything and everything the blogger wants to post! I enjoy seeing cards and hearing about any and all of their creative endeavors...I also like to hear about their lives...it makes their art easier to understand...you know...understand their driving creativity! (and getting to know them better, too!!) I enjoy an occasional technique...and most of all, I just like to see what's up!

cheers!! and keep up the fantastic work

  97. What I like to see, and appreciate seeing, on your blog:

    * frequent updates. It's kind of like looking forward to a new catalog, but when you get it, there's nothing new

    * a photo of a card, with recipe, and instructions if it's not obvious. I'm a new stamper, so your samples inspire me!

    * reviews of the latest stamping "toys"...was it easy to use? why did you pick it over another? how many ways can you use it? how often do you use it?

    * notes about you or your family or your life, etc. so we can become virtual friends :)

Ahh the power of free stuff!!!

I have enjoyed all your cards (given me a lot of ideas!) and enjoyed your life stories! I really like when bloggers say how they made the card.

I am going to take this as a lesson and start commenting when I enjoy something...don't be surprised if you see something from me for every posting now!!!

Anyway pick me! pick me! pick me!!! Does begging have an impact? :)

I still love your cards and descriptions of them. I wish you were my neighbor and I could come stamp with you.
