He Lights Up My Life

Supplies Used: Stamps: A Happy Hi and Mini Mates (SU); Cuttlebug die cut for the scallop square; SU 3/4" square punch; May Arts Polka Dot ribbons (purchased from Cindy at StarLitStudio on ebay); Stamp Ma Jig; Real Red, YoYo Yellow, White, and Black SU Cardstock; SU Markers for the colorful mouse! The saying -- You Light Up My Life is from Mini Mates and is not on one line (sadly). So, I very carefully used the Stamp Ma Jig to line up the saying and used a Black Marker to stamp each line, carefully cleaning off between stamping the second half of the saying. My husband loves color (see post below!), so he'll get this card tonight -- before he has a chance to see it on the blog.

  1. The mouse sure is a cutie, and I love what you did with him! Those little scallop squares are fabulous...can I come over and play?

Now, about the mouse I was looking for. After much searching and tons of help, a fellow Gingerwoodie was able to tell me that what I was looking for was actually an incentive stamp and not this little one from "A Happy Hi."

Thanks again for your help, and for sharing this great card!

  3. Very cute mousie! I like the color combo, too.

Oh, dear. Now you've done it with the polka dot ribbon. I think I might have to get some of that--like I need more ribbon!

  5. Hi Joan! You are an AWESOME stamper and have some GREAT ideas! Thanks for sharing this card! I have "A Happy Hi" and ever noticed this stamp! I've not even used this set except for 1 card when I first got it back in July! I'm off to make a card with this CUTE stamp! Thanks for the inspiration!

  10. This is such a great layout for using those small stamps that often get neglected. I just got a cuttlebug today...the box is still unoped and you've already made me want MORE dies! :)
