Featured Artist of the Week: Robin Desko

Are these drop dead gorgeous or WHAT?? When I saw the witch card with the EeeK, I knew I had found this week's featured artist. The background is just perfect for the overall image of the card.
Robin has a small, but lovely gallery under the name Stampinfoool1234 in Splitcoast. You can see the rest of her work here . Robin lives in Massachusetts with her husband, son, and twin daughters. She's been stamping for 8 years, a Stampin' Up! Demo for 4 1/2. I asked her tell me a bit about her stamping and she reports: "I love trying new techniques, all the latest gadgets and accessories. Right now I like exerimenting with layering the SU background stamps, watercoloring and I think 99% of the time my cards must have ribbon! I admit that I'm a ribbon addict!" I hope you will agree with me that Stampinfool1234 is no fool when it comes to stampin!
I love scouring the galleries looking for fabulous work that is not as well known as others and then posting it here. I'm having so much fun doing this, I may do it more than once a week. Stay tuned!
edited to add: I just noticed that Robin has an awesome blog! You can find it here -- or on my list of blogs under Stamped Reflections.

  1. Joan,
Your blog is so much fun to read, I love that you have "Featured Artist of the Week." I spend time every day on SCS and don't recall Robin's work. How did I miss this. She is great, and so are you for spotlighting her. I love your commentary on the threads at SCS, you are funny, informative and straight to the point. My kinda person. Thanks for all your fabulous insight.

  2. Wow! Great cards! That background (I'm assuming it's done with alcohol inks - kinda like polished stone?) on the witche's card is just ingenious! Thanks for pointing her out. :) Hope all is going well with your Mom! :)
